You're ALL Talk.

So God has really been speaking to me about saying what you mean. This is important.

I find it very very difficult to be surrounded with people who say one thing and do something completely different, they have names... hypocrites and liars.

Before I get into full swing of things, this blog may possibly come across as quite blunt and to the point, no messing around.

Proverbs 8:8 - "All the words from my mouth are righteous, there is nothing nasty, twisted or crooked in there." (the SJV - Sam Johnson version, just cause i like to put it in my language.)... Its what we need to live up to. Your words are flippin' POWERFUL. So make sure what comes outta your mouth is clean, and pure, and filled with truth... so no false stuff, no wrong stuff, no dirt can creep in there. Keep your mouth clean, please... for the sake of the people you speak to, for yourself and for the sake of the Gospel you claim to represent. You CANNOT expect the truth and love of the Gospel come out of the same place as lies, crude jokes and swearing... its almost like washing your dishes in the toilet... trying to get something clean out of it, but what you're using is filled with bacteria and stuff that is NOT GOOD.

James 3:10-12

One Wednesday night at a Church prayer meeting, God spoke clearly about the words you say. To sum it up in one very short sentence, it was as so: "Think about the words you are saying, because I'm gonna take you up on them." Now, that was God speaking... Basically saying if you say something about what you're gonna do, I'm gonna make sure you do it... If you say that you're going to do something, and don't do it you lose respect from others, you lose trust. If I say to someone "Oh yeah, I'll come pick you up at 7..." and don't show, that person has been relying on me to be where they are for 7 (maybe before, depending on your punctuality... which I will blog on in the future.) to pick them up... They have organized with me, organized things around that and relied on me to show... If i don't show up i let down that person, and make my word void and unreliable. I can't expect that person to trust the words that come out of my mouth again. Get me?

You need to be a man or woman of your word. Its not good enough to not be mature enough to do what you say you will.

If you say to God "I surrender ALL.", do you realize what it is you're saying? YOU SURRENDER EVERYTHING. you don't keep ANYTHING for yourself. Not ONE thing. If you're now thinking "but what about...." YES, EVEN THAT. Your money, car, house, friends, family, feelings, boyfriend, girlfriend, your dreams, your desires, your plans, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF. Before you say I SURRENDER ALL you need to count the cost and think "Do i really... or am i just talk?" I'm encouraging you to challenge your own mind and own good will... Too many Christians think that what they say can satisfy God and make him feel all happy and warm knowing that you at least said it... NO NO NO... you neeeeeeeed to live up to what you say. BE A PERSON OF INTEGRITY. There is no room in the Church for talkers. We need doers. If you're a talker, think about what it is you're talking about and saying... if you don't mean it, then with all due respect, SHUT UP AND DON'T SAY A WORD.

If you ARE meaning what you're saying then make sure you're moving and DOING it. God loves a child who He can trust to stick true to their word.

Sam. =]
