I just wanted to keep a documentation of what i've been scribbling down tonight.. which is some basics of.. well... the faith you belong to, ranging from God's love to being co-heirs with Christ... so basically, the way it'll go is sub headings then a chunk of verses (i'll add some in, but it'll be good for you to hold your bible and flick through your own ;))... so YEEAAAAH. Let's see what the Word of God has to say to us tonight!...
GOD LOVES
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world He gave His ONE and ONLY Son to die for us, that whoever believes in Him will inherit ETERNAL LIFE. =]
Galatians 2:20 - ... I live by faith in the Son of God, who LOVED me and gave himself for ME.
Proverbs 8:17 - CHECK THIS OUT GUYS... SERIOUSLY!!!
1 John 4:10 - ...Not that we have loved God, but that He LOVED US and sent his Son...
1 John 4:16 - (nice and easy... memorize this one!) GOD IS LOVE
1 John 4:19 - (chew over this one, look at how its written...) "WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US" (He loved us before we even started to acknowledge him... that is LOVE.)

FORGIVENESS
How can we be sure that God can just look over all the stuff we've done wrong? Surely we've done so much wrong stuff, not even God can forget about it....? Take a look....

THE HOLY SPIRIT
This bit is HUGE... AND SO IMPORTANT... please check some of these out cos they are insane.
Acts 1:8 - But you will receive POWER when the HOLY SPIRIT comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (you), and in all Judea (family and friends), and Samaria (your town/area) and to the ends of the earth (worldwide!)!!!

Not everyone does it all the time, even the preachers sometimes slip up, but we know that Jesus could do it, so we can!

1 John 4:17 - As he is, so we also ARE in this world. Basically... as Jesus is SO righteous, SO holy, SO clean, SO glorious, SO WE ARE. That's the identity we carry!! Because of what Jesus has done, we can enter into this... AS JESUS IS, AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER IN ALL HIS GLORY, SO WE ARE, STILL WALKING AROUND SCHOOL/COLLEGE/WORK/TOWN... WOW.
PRAY FOR THE SICK AND WATCH THEIR FACES DROP IN AMAZEMENT!!
Acts 9:34 - And Peter said to him "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you, RISE and make your bed... and immediately he rose (after being bedridden for 8 years!)
Acts 8:7 - ... And many who were paralyzed or lame were HEALED!
1 Corinthians 12:9 - ...To another GIFTS OF HEALING... (to get a full picture read from 12:1-11 and then 12:28!)
James 5:15 - And the prayer of FAITH will save anyone who is SICK and the LORD will raise him UP!
ACTS 4:30 - WHILE YOU STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND TO HEAL, AND SIGNS AND WONDERS ARE PERFORMED THROUGH THE NAME OF YOUR HOLY SERVANT JESUS!!

TONGUES, PROPHECIES AND THAT CRAZY STUFF!
Ok, so you may not be totally familiar or even comfortable with this stuff, but you see these things are gifts of the Holy Spirit. Tongues is an unlearned, heavenly language in which you speak mysteries to God, its a very intimate thing between you and God. Prophecies are words from God, often bringing direction and instruction or simply some words God just wants his people to hear, such as He loves them. Its not scary stuff or anything... its incredible. These things are powerful manifestations of the Holy Spirit!!
Acts 2:4 - And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them
Acts 10:46 - ... Speaking in tongues and praising God.
Acts 19:6 - And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying!
Mark 16:17 - WANNA CAST OUT DEMONS? READ THIS...

Its just the stuff you kinda need to know (i don't wanna sound like a teacher here) cos its good for you... its real juicy stuff.
There are WAY more verses than i put down here... i barely went into the Old Testament... thats full of AMAZING stuff, especially stories of God's love, power, holiness! OH MAN. dig in.
