Ignoring your family?

I can tell you quite a lot of stories and testimonies about people being healed on the streets, in universities, shops... all over the place... however, I run a bit dry when it comes to telling you stories of people being healed in the Church... Don't get me wrong, that can be a good thing, showing that we are all being kept in good health, but I honestly don't believe that EVERYONE in the Church is in 100% health they are designed to in... Why? Surely we should be the examples of miracles in the 21st Century?

First of all, I am speaking to myself through this, I have much to learn about this, so don't think I'm getting at people =]

Jesus is awesome. You can't argue with that, amongst all the incredible, redeeming, life changing things he did and does, its hard to ignore that Jesus was a pro when it came to defying natural circumstances and showing that nothing it impossible. He is the miracle worker... Now through all the saving, the filling with the Holy Spirit, being anointed and sitting in heavenly places (Gosh what a great Father we have.) we are now an open heaven, sent to heal the sick, cast out demons and deliver the captive. Boom.

Basics over....

We have a responsibility to rise up and destroy the works of the devil... And the devil HATES the Church. He attacks relentlessly in attempts to destroy what God is building, this is seen in sickness, financial troubles, stresses, addictions, arguments.. anything that will give a person a hard time believing that God is good. Now because the attacks are from a supernatural origin, we have to fight back with a supernatural weapon... our anointing to destroy the works of the devil. Yeah, the anointing is supernatural.
We need healing, fighting, releasing and freedom in the Church as much as people on the streets need it. The Church is not exempt from receiving a miracle.

I am guilty of doing this... Someone in the Church complains of a headache or stomach ache or something, my responsibility is to destroy the work of the devil, but what I do instead is offer sympathy...
what use is that?
Why do I do that when I have the Holy Spirit aching to burst out of me and heal?
What should be done is a declaration of healing there and then, stepping into who I am, doing what I am meant to.

It sometimes makes me think 'are we ignoring our own family?'... God has given us brothers and sisters to build us up and look after us, if it was me who was ill, I'd expect my family to stand with me against the devil... Why are so many of us not doing that?

"We have to believe in our own conversion."

We cannot rule out praying against sickness in the Church because we feel its more important to pray for those outside of the Church, they are both attacks that need the same amount of attention.

I have focussed on healing, simply because I know that area best...

But if someone needs money, you can be a miracle by giving them money... You'd be surprised how far £5 can go, it can get someone through a week, fill their fridge... you have no idea.

You are your brothers keeper.

I realize that this may all seem bitty and as if I'm writing as I'm thinking, thats because thats exactly what I'm doing...

I'll wrap it up....

Don't be SO focussed on reaching out that you forgot to reach in and ensure everyone is doing well in your own family. As the phrase goes, 'Family First.' Pray for the sick in the Church, pray for the poor in the Church, pray for the addicts in the Church, pray for the depressed, the angry, the confused, lost, desperate, dry, upset... your family is under attack, its a supernatural, spiritual battle, therefore we fight back with supernatural, spiritual weapons... Miracles. We defy what the situation says, what disagree with the Doctors diagnosis, we refuse the financial predictions of the government and we destroy EVERY work of the enemy.

I'm done rambling... hope you got something... =]
